Hi everyone,

I’m getting Cindy to send this to everyone again since some of you may still be making up your minds as to whether you’re going to Chattanooga Saturday or not. Tickets are still available – or will be as long as they do indeed get here tomorrow as promised!

I will put the list below so you can see if your name is here or not. If it is not and you want tickets please e-mail me to let me know how many and I’ll have them for you with everyone else’s.

The first 50 were sold Tuesday. The others still need to be paid for and picked up. I will be at the band room Friday at 4:00 for you to get yours. Each ticket is 13.00 – I found out children under 7 will be admitted free so no ticket will be necessary for children 6 and under.

You may pay cash for the tickets or write checks to USBands. If you cannot get to school between 4 and 5:30 Friday, please let me know how we can get together for you to get your tickets. Saturday rehearsal may be an option. LouJ77@aol.com or 256-830-8319.

Oh! The new Spirit Wear is in too! We will TRY OUR BEST to have it available for sale Friday afternoon as well. It will be chilly (okay, maybe downright cold) Saturday, so get your hoodies, sweatshirts and blankets! Who knows? You might be able to sneak in a little Christmas shopping!

AND FINALLY – Pecans. I called the company to find out about how long the orders are taking to turn around. Weather is their biggest factor. It needs to be cold for shipment so the candied won’t melt and the plain pecans won’t get rancid. Guess what? It’s supposed to be cold – yes, even in south GA! They told me if I placed the order yesterday they would ship Monday! If I order next week any day, they will likely ship the next day! YIKES! How would you like to take more orders? You may have already exhausted your sources, but if you would like to make one last plug, go for it between now and Tuesday. Get the order forms and money in to the band room TUESDAY during the school day! I’ll attach the order form here for you to use. This is NOT a requirement – just an offer.

Dear Parents,

We sold out of tickets for Saturday very quickly! Lou Justice has been working with US Bands to get more tickets to us to accommodate those who would like to purchase tickets. They are willing to help us get more tickets at a discount.

If we have enough interest, they will overnight the tickets to us and you can pick them up on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

If you would like tickets, your response to this e-mail will be a promise to purchase them if we can get them. They will cost $13.00 (a three dollar discount).

Please e-mail Lou Justice at LouJ77@aol.com, to let me know that you would like to purchase tickets and how many you would like. Hopefully, If we get enough, we will be able to justify (in their eyes) the extra expense of the over night charges that will be incurred to get them to us.

Ok so I have a few updates for this week regarding the original schedule.

1) B Jazz Band will meet at BJHS tomorrow until 5:30pm. Mr. Murray has a meeting so A jazz band will not meet tomorrow.

2) The buses will have to drop us off Saturday and go park elsewhere. Therefore, we will travel to Chattanooga in whites then change into full uniform and exit the bus to unload and get water/snacks.

3) Mr. Thornton and I have mandatory professional development Friday afternoon that we can’t get out of. We are forced to move our competition rehearsal to 3:00-5:00pm on the turf field. I apologize for the inconvenience. We will respect your time and end on time as to not affect your Halloween night plans.

4) As stated during practice, there will be a field judge Saturday. Your uniform cleanliness is EXTREMELY important, including your shoes. Please clean and press your pants after Thursday’s game and use a magic eraser or something equally as strong to clean your shoes, along with washing your shoe laces.

We very desperately need chaperones for Thursday. It is an out of county game so have absolutely have to have 10 chaperones.

On Saturday night we will eat dinner at the concession stand after our performance. They are offering preordered dinner combos. The choices are:

We will need the money turned in by Friday. Checks can be made out to BJHS Band and placed in the band box.

You do not have to do this. I think it is a little cheaper and you will not have to wait in line.

The concession stands will be open at the stadium with hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza and Zaxby’s. The price range is $5-$10.
