Uniforms

General

Each ensemble in the band program has a uniform for performances (both fall and spring). These are required to participate in any band function.  Be sure to follow the Uniform Care Guide for proper maintenance of your uniform. Additionally, the Code of Conduct  is to be adhered to at all times when in uniform.

When in uniform, students are representatives of the band program, Bob Jones High School, and the entire Madison community. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in dismissal from the program.

Marching Band Uniform

  • Wind and percussion students will be fitted and issued a uniform during the first week of band camp.  The band contract signed by each student/parent outlines details, rules, and costs associated with the uniform.  Uniforms will be checked out to the student upon the return of this contract and confirmation of all fees paid.  This contract is a binding agreement, stating the uniform will be returned in the condition in which it was issued and failure to do so will result in a fine charged to the student for the amount of the uniform or part that was damaged.
    • Jacket- $170
    • Pants (bib)- $70
    • Shako (Hat)- $50

  • White Drillmaster marching shoes are required and will be available for purchase during Band Camp.
  • We strongly recommend that students have at least 2 pairs of white gloves. These will be available for purchase during band camp or may be purchased elsewhere.
  • Students will also require  long white socks to complete the uniform.  Ankle socks are not acceptable
  • The full uniform also includes gauntlets and plumes, but these will be issued before performances and collected immediately afterward.
