Makeup Rookie Camp- Responses needed

I forgot to include this on my last email.

If you missed rookie camp and need to make it up, it will be eitherThursday July 10 or Friday July 11. We will do either a 4 hour morning session or a 4 hour afternoon session, depending on conflicts of those attending.

PLEASE RESPOND stating one of four options:

1) I do not have a conflict and either day will work for me.
2) I have a conflict on Thursday (state time of conflict) so Friday works better for me.
3) I have a conflict on Friday (state time of conflict) so Thursday works better for me.
4) I have a conflict on both days (state time of conflict for Thursday and Friday).

I need a response from everyone who missed camp so I can plan accordingly to accommodate everyone the best I can.

Band Camp Updates- PLEASE READ ALL and SEE ATTACHMENTS

Hi all,

Band camp is just a few weeks away and we’ve got a lot of updates on schedules, music, and more.

Band Camp Schedule (July 14-18and 21-25)
8:00-11:00am
1:00-4:00pm
5:30-7:30pm (Omit this block July 16, 23, and 25)

– PARENT EXHIBITION: July 25 at 4:30pm

All rehearsals are MANDATORY for ALL members unless approved by a director. Schedules for GUARD AND DANCE TEAM may vary slightly at the instructor’s/coach’s discretion.

**Attached you’ll find a “band camp checklist” to help each of you better prepare for camp. It lists several expectations that must be met when camp begins. It applies for ALL members.

Band News

Hi all,
Well, school’s out for summer (how many of you are singing now?), but band news continues on.
First, if you have graduated, you will be removed from these emails in the next week or so, as we promote everyone in the Charms system, so please be patient with us. If for any reason you need to be removed sooner, or continue to get emails from us after June 1st, you can contact Janine Reardon (our new secretary) to have your info removed.
Next, welcome to all our new students and parents. We are so happy to have you in the band program. You will be receiving emails periodically to give you information and band news.
I will be finishing up my term of office next week and handing things over to our new president, Cindy Leaphart. We are working together until June 1st. I know you will all show her the great support you’ve given me this year. Thank-you to all our volunteers for all your help this year. The band program would not exist without you!
Next week – Wednesday through Friday, May 28th-30th is Rookie Camp. This is a mini band camp for just Rookies (new band members) and drill techs. The hours are below:

Rookie Camp

Wednesday, May 28 (8:00 am-12:00 pm)

Thursday, May 29 (8:00-5:00 pm- Students will need to bring water, sunscreen, and pack a lunch)

Friday, May 30 (8:00-5:00 pm- Students will need to bring water, sunscreen, and pack a lunch)

In addition, we will be fitting all rookies for their uniforms on Wednesday, May 28th in the band room. The directors have asked that we use the afternoon of the 28th from 1-4:30 pm to do uniform fittings. All Rookies should plan to either stay after lunch or come back to the band room to be fitted. We’d like to do all woodwind players from 1-3 pm, and all other players from 2:30 -4:30 pm. If for any reason you cannot be there, you will need to let us know beforehand, so we can arrange a make-up time.

Lastly, we will need a few volunteers to help with rookie camp and uniform fittings next week. Details on that to follow shortly. There will be a sign-up genius link set up that I will send out, so you can sign up for helping.

Please sign up with Kroger!

Please see the note below from Kroger regarding their Kroger rewards program. We can now earn free money for the Bob Jones band every time any of us shops at Kroger. All you have to do is follow the instructions below (use the link included below) to associate your Kroger card with the Bob Jones Band, and the band will earn money every time you shop. We already received a check for $92.00 this month, and the more people who register, the more money the band receives.

This only takes a couple minutes, and every dollar we earn helps the band.

You have been assigned a new NPO number 36158.

Please refer to this number in all future correspondence.

TO USE THE KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM:

  • Simply encourage your members to register online at krogercommunityrewards.com
  • Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with your organization after you sign up.
  • If a member does not yet have a Kroger Plus card, please let them know that they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.
  • Click on Sign In/Register
  • Most participants are new online customers, so they must click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New Customer?’ box.
  • Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions
  • You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email.
  • Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
  • Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
  • Update or confirm your information.
  • Enter NPO number or name of organization, select organization from list and click on confirm.
  • To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see your organization’s name on the right side of your information page.
  • REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your group until after your member(s) register their card(s).
  • Do you use your phone number at the register?  Call 800-576-4377, select option 4 to get your Kroger Plus card number.
  • Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
