Bob Jones currently seats three exceptional concert ensembles. Membership is determined by auditions held each Spring. Members do NOT have to be in marching band to participate in Wind Ensemble.

Each ensemble will participate in the state Music Performance Assessment in February/March, a Spring concert, and sometimes a Spring competition trip. Members are required to be enrolled in the appropriate class during Spring semester, as well as attend a weekly after school rehearsal.

Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble is the top concert ensemble at Bob Jones High School. Rated Class AA in the state Music Performance Assessment, they perform college level (grade 5-6) literature. They have also been chosen to perform at the Alabama Music Educators Association meeting several times, most recently in 2022.

Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band is the second concert ensemble at Bob Jones High School. Rated Class BB in the state Music Performance Assessment, this group performs grade 3-4 literature.

Concert Band

Concert Band is the third concert ensemble at Bob Jones High School. Rated Class CC in the state Music Performance, this group performs grade 2-3 literature.
