Last week, the Madison City Board of Education named Leigh Thomas Director of BJHS Bands. Thomas joined BJHS for the 2012-13 school year as assistant-director of the Marching Band and director of Percussion, Indoor Drumline, and Concert Band.

The Assistant Band Director position has been posted on the state education website. Interviews will be held in the next week or two and we should have a new assistant director by the beginning of July.

The board also approved Mrs. Jenney Merritt as Band Director at Discovery Middle School.
