Competition Marching Band is an elite group chosen from the members of the entire marching band. Along with all other marching band functions, this group will participate in several marching competitions during September and October. Membership in this ensemble is determined by the directors based on prior observation of each student, music auditions, recommendations from the middle school directors, and/or evaluations during the first week of band camp.

Competition members will attend all games, performances and practices attended by the football marching band, but will also have additional weekly practices, occasional Saturday practices, and Saturday competitions performances.

The Bob Jones Competition Marching band is the 2022 Alabama State Marching Band 7A Champions.
