Reminder that Bob Jones Band Auditions are Tuesday May 15th at 4 p.m. at the band room.

Tomorrow night, May 3rd will be the final band concert for this school year. 

Color guard will perform in the gym at 6 p.m. with indoor drumline immediately following.

Concert band will perform in the auditorium at 7 p.m. with Wind Ensemble immediately following.

Students should be at the auditorium at 6:30 in their concert attire.

Drill tech tryouts will be May 8th from 4-5 p.m. in bandroom

Drum Major tryouts will be May 9th from 4-5 p.m. in bandroom,

Auditions for band will be Tuesday May 15th starting at 4 p.m. in the bandroom.  Music will be distributed 7 days prior to auditions by Mr. Thronton.  All students must audition, even if you were in band this year.

Monday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in Bandroom is the band reception.  Cake and punch will be served.

Thursday, May 3rd is the sping concert/arts festival.  The Color guard will perform in the gym at 6 p.m. and the drumline will perform immediately following the color guard.

Concert band will perform in the auditorium at 7 p.m., Wind Ensemble will perform after Concert Band.

Students are to be there dressed in concert attire at 6:30 p.m.

Reminder that students are to be at the bandroom at 8 a.m. in the morning.  Bring money for 2 meals (lunch and supper).

The competition is open to the public.  They will play at 4:25 p.m. eastern time.

Students need to be at the school at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 28th to go to Chattanooga.  Bring their concert uniform (tux or dress and shoes) in a garment bag.  Students will change into their concert attire before warm up.  Students will need money for lunch and supper.  The plans are to go to Hamilton Place Mall food court for lunch and stop in South Pittsburgh for supper on the way home.

The band will warm up at 3:50 p.m. Eastern time, perform at 4:25 p.m. Eastern time.  Awards will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern time.

Estimated time of return to BJHS is 10 p.m. Central time.

Seniors,

If you have not filled out a form for the band reception to bequeth your “valuables” please pick up a form on the table outside the directors office and fill it out.  Return it to the drop box on the table by Monday, Apr 23rd.

The band reception will be Monday Apr 30 at 7 p.m. in the bandroom.

Reminder of our band booster meeting tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in the band room.  Officers will be elected for the 2012-2013 school year.
